Minequip was founded in 1980 to service the construction and mining industry in Latin America from its headquarters in Miami. Over the last 30 years the company has expanded rapidly, evolving from a supplier of parts to a full service distributor, selling new and used equipment, parts, rebuilt components and technical maintenance, and support and consultancy services.
Minequip is an authorized distributor for Hitachi, Cummins, Gardner Denver, Sullair, Fleetguard Filters, and JCB and supports and services its customer base from both Miami and Guyana. Minequip Guyana also has in-country workshops and rebuild facilities with an experienced team of factory-trained mechanics.
The company is now expanding into the used equipment market for Latin America and its new facility is ideally located one mile from Miami International airport with full exposure to over 500,000 cars per day with its frontage on the Palmetto Expressway (State Road 826).
